The Mt. Diablo Legal Professionals Association ("MDLPA") received its charter from Legal Secretaries Association (California), now Legal Secretaries, Inc. ("LSI®") in January of 1969. Like LSI, MDLPA is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational, professional, and personal development programs to its membership, consisting of legal assistants, paralegals, legal secretaries, legal administrative assistants, court reporters, and law office administrators.

Members of this Association are bound by the standards of conduct required of the legal profession and the objectives of Legal Secretaries, Inc.
LSI CODE OF ETHICS
It shall be the duty of each member of Legal Secretaries, Incorporated, to observe all laws, rules, and regulations now or hereafter in effect relating to confidentiality and privileged communication, acting with loyalty, integrity, competence, and diplomacy, in accordance with the highest standards of professional conduct.
